1. Sleep Master Platform Metal Bed Frame/Foundation
I would highly recommend the Sleep Master metal bed frame/foundation if you’re looking for a sturdy frame and foundation for your memory foam mattress. The top is completely flat and smooth, which is perfect for placing a memory foam mattress on. And since it is made entirely from steel, it won’t sag overtime like other boxsprings or foundations.
Another great thing about this particular foundation is that it comes with enough space underneath to store stuff. So if you’re the type the likes to maximize space in your living area (such as me) having storage under your bed is a great asset.
It requires no tools for assembly and is easy to set up. If you’re in dire need of a memory foam mattress foundation and bed frame, this is the only one I would recommend.
2. DynastyMattress 8-Inch Thick Wood Box Foundation
This new product from Dynasty is great if you’re looking for a proper foundation for your memory foam mattress. Unlike traditional box springs which tend to sag overtime (which is horrible for memory foam) this one is designed to create a flat and even surface. It is made from high quality pine wood, and if assembled properly, will prove to be a sturdy foundation for your mattress.
However, I should point out that assembly is required with this one. The company provides you everything you need for assembly (and even marks where the holes need to go) but you will need to spend about 15 or 20 minutes putting this thing together.
Just follow the instruction carefully and eventually you will have a really solid memory foam mattress foundation. It is made in the USA which means it is easy to contact the company should you have any problems.
I highly recommend it for anyone looking to maximize the comfort of their memory foam mattress.
3. Versiflex Mattress Box Spring Foundation
The Versiflex Mattress Boxspring Foundation is the last one I decided to include in this article and one which I was originally hesitant to include. This one is a bit of a trade-off, because it is not as high quality as the Dynasty Mattress or Sleep Master foundations, but is easy to move around into smaller spaces. If you plan on travelling a bit or moving into a small apartment then the Versiflex Mattress boxspring foundation may be the way to go.
It is entirely collapsable and can fit into a box with the dimensions of 76″ x 10″ x 10″. With a ten minute approximate assembly time it is truly the ideal way to go if you’re not working with a lot of space.
However, I think its long-term durability is a bit questionable. Some of the reviews on this one suggest that the wood is not the highest quality. This makes me think that overtime it could develop some inconsistencies that could negatively impact your sleep.
